A great introduction to William Shakespeare and his life and times is the book Eyewitness:Shakespeare by Peter Chrisp, part of the famous DK Eyewitness series. If you're a visual learner, then this book is an excellent way to immerse your eyes and brain in Shakespeare's life and the historic era in which he lived. Filled with photos of artifacts, historic locations, texts and artwork from the world of Shakespeare, this is a great way to learn more about the man who is considered the greatest playwright of all time and is still so widely read, performed, and admired over four centuries later.
